In Türkiye, ARAS has played an effective role in cleaning of environmental pollution caused by shore facilities and ship fires, explosions, collisions, groundings etc. and accomplished collection and disposal of the pollutants such as crude oil, fuel, hazardous and noxious substances in conformity with the current laws and regulations so far.
ARAS is an authorized company to make risk assessment and prepare emergency response plans for shore facilities by Republic of Türkiye, Ministry of Environment and Forestry since 2008. ARAS is also authorized for organizing training seminars and site exercises related to Preparedness and Response to Marine Pollution by Oil & Hazardous and Noxious Substances (OPRC-HNS) by Republic of Türkiye, Undersecretariat for Maritime Affairs and became one of the six private sector companies in 2008.
