Main scope of the project is to construct a pre-cast concrete block foundation quay wall, having 370 m plan length and 10 courses of blocks and backfilling between the quay wall and the onshore. The work items are:
§ Base cleaning of quay wall trench by clamshell method,
§ Placement of 0-20 kg granular material (rubble mound), with 80 cm thickness, along the quay wall trench,
§ Placement of 10-20 mm bedding material, with 20 cm thickness along the quay wall trench,
§ Placement of pre-cast concrete blocks, having variable weight, from 45 ton to 120 ton, in 10 courses along the quay wall trench,
§ Placement of geo-textile, filter layer and 1-1000 kg category rock material as quay wall backfill,
§ Placement of 150-500 kg anti-scour material in front of quay wall.
Crane ship Barbaros-3, tugboat Pegasus-3, flat barge Seka Ak-2, Tugboat Vega 3, boat Alexia and hired marine vehicles, crawler crane Manitowoc 4100 W, and floating crane Kartal 7 are being used in the operations.
