Incident
Panamanian flagged, 65.4 m in length, 8.60 m in breadth, and 4.73 m in depth, 764 GRT and 1246 DWT cargo vessel Dimitrios P sank in Derince Port during loading of steel beams and rebars. The wreck removal agreement was signed with the shipowner on 9th of October and the operations started.

Scope of Works
Following operations are being carried out under the supervision of a surveyor assigned by the correspondent of the P&I Club:
§ 50 steel beams and 277 bales of rebars were discharged from the sunken ship (approximately, 1000 tons in total).
§ The sunken ship was cut into three sections underwater and they were removed from the sea by our crane ship Barbaros-III.
§ As the cutting operation on the berth was completed, the scrap was sold to Diler Iron & Steel Industry.
