Sao Tome and Principe flagged, 3135 DWT general dry cargo ship Robel had an accident as a result of crash of Malaysian flagged ship Bunga Melor Satu and sank with approximately 3050 tons of iron scrap and also, fuel, oil, and other materials on board generating a serious risk in terms of environmental pollution near Zeytinburnu in the Marmara Sea.

Scope of Works
|
The wreck removal operations were undertaken by the agreement of WRECKON (International Wreck Removal and Marine Services Agreement) on the basis of “No Cure, No Pay” signed with the shipowner of Bunga Melor Satu. In this regard, the ship was refloated and then, towed to Aliağa for disposal.
